First things first. Breathe.
If you’re planning to get married with a bunch of your favourite people partying with you, the list of things to do can be as big, or as little, as you choose.
Like with anything you do in the whole crazy fiasco that is planning a wedding, make sure at all times, you are appreciating each other and the love you have found.
Done that? Good. Now let’s plan.
Be honest, you’ve probably now joined a million Facebook groups, stalked a few wedding influencers and already done some google time on the things that are a focus BUT the one discussion you must have with each other, before anything else, is..
When do we want to get married?
This one answer is the key to solving so much of your wedding planning dramas. Having a date, vague or non-negotiable, means that you can book everything from your venue to your cars, cakes and florist.
What time will the ceremony be?
May not sound like it’s that important, but vendors like hair and makeup, cars and celebrants plan their schedule (and staff) around your ceremony time. Having an idea of when it all kicks off, can help your vendors assess their availability.
Venue first. Always
Where you hold your wedding / reception/ event can and does affect the price of things (sorry, it does.) It is expected that vendors who have to travel will incorporate the cost into their quote. I know it would be great to get a “rough idea of cost” but until certain details are locked and loaded, a lot of vendors won’t be able to provide that.
